Lewis Hamilton will leave Mercedes to join Ferrari at the end of the year.

Lewis Hamilton's hopes of seeing Adrian Newey join him at Ferrari have been dealt a setback with Eddie Jordan denying rumours of an agreement being in place for the Red Bull chief to make the switch.

The F1 grid is set to look vastly different in 2025 with Hamilton's move to Ferrari expected to have a domino effect on other teams.

There's also set to be huge changes behind the scenes at various teams with Newey stepping down from his role with Red Bull.

The iconic F1 car designer has worked with Red Bull since 2006 and has been credited with playing a huge role in their championship-winning seasons.

But his sudden availability has piqued the interest of Ferrari and Aston Martin with rumours indicating the former had an agreement in place for Newey to join them.

That would have been music to Hamilton's ears, who recently admitted his desire to work with Newey at Ferrari.

He said: "They (Ferrari) have got a great team and they are making huge progress and their car is quicker this year, but it would be a privilege to work with him.

"If I was to do a list of people I would like to work with then he (Newey) would absolutely be at the top of it."

However, it doesn't appear as though any decision has been made on Newey's next steps.

Jordan, who is Newey's manager, admits that they are talking to people but they are nothing more than initial discussions.

“That's not right, I can bet my life on that,” Jordan said on the Formula For Success podcast.

"There is no inclination to go in any particular direction at the moment.

"We are looking at the possibilities and letting people talk to us.

"I'm speaking as someone who needs to know and I'm not giving away any information... these conversations are just not happening right now.

"There will be conversations and they will continue to happen, because we still have to decide what Adrian himself wants to do.

"He has been working on this since university. From Leyton House to Williams and McLaren.

"The man is 60, he is getting a new boot.

"I would say that in addition to all those potential teams we are talking about, he should also think about himself.

"I have no idea what the choice will be and it will always be Adrian's decision and that's how it should be."
