In one photo, Ernest sits on the grass wearing a blue sports top with his nickname 'Ernie' printed on the back in white.

Another image shows Ernest facing forward as his elder brother, August, gives him an affectionate kiss on the side of the head.

The princess and her husband Jack announced the arrival of their son Ernie five days after his birth in June 2023.

Sharing an image of her newborn wearing a blue knitted hat the princess said: "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.

"He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."

Ernest is currently 13th in line to the throne behind his older brother August but does not have a royal title.

Eugenie's youngest son has not been publicly seen since his birth, however, Eugenie shares pictures of both her children on special occasions.

When August turned three in February, the princess posted three photos on social media with a caption describing him as a "force of nature."

Marking her 34th birthday in March, the princess shared a photo showing Eugenie lifting Ernest into the air in a post captioned: “The best gift of all are my boys… so on this birthday I'm cherishing family and loved ones.”

Sarah Ferguson, Ernest and August’s grandmother, spoke about her grandchild Ernie in her podcast Tea Talks with The Duchess and Sarah last year.

She said: “He's a very, very seriously beautiful little boy. And of course everybody says that, but of course he is.

“I was really touched when Jack and Eugenie told me [about the name]. It was so moving that they'd put my dad in there, it was very kind I thought.

“It made me cry, of course… I'd popped into a children's shop and bought some little blue booties and that's when she told me.”
