Commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo spoke out after it was claimed Meghan and Harry had demanded an apology

eMEGHAN and Harry's reported wish for an apology from King Charles has been slammed by a leading Royal expert.

Commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo spoke out after it was claimed Meghan and Harry had demanded an apology for the way the exit from the royal family was handled.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Heydel-Mankoo said: “I think it’s very important to have this dignity of silence by the King and royal family. By rising above it in this way, and also by carrying on their duty of service, I think the contrast speaks volumes.

“It makes the Sussexes look like they’re small minded, petty and bitter. But what we also know now is that they seem to be appalled that they didn’t get the similar apology that Lady Hussey gave to Ngozi Fulani.

“So as a pre-condition for actually attending the coronation, they’re now demanding an apology from the King and the Prince of Wales, which I think is quite outrageous.

“What they are doing, essentially, is trying to deflect attention away from the Coronation and onto themselves. It’s a great time for national unity and national celebration.

“We're the only country in Europe to have a Christian coronation service where the King will be anointed and crowned. It’s a sacrament as much as taking holy orders and it’s a great time for the nation to come together, and to deflect and take attention away for themselves is the most narcissistic act imaginable.”

He added: “They are asking [for an apology] for the way in which they’ve been treated, for the way in which William (is accused of) bullied them out. I mean it’s a nonsensical thing.

“If anything, they should be the ones on bended knee seeking forgiveness, not only from the monarchy, but from the entire British nation for stating that Britain is institutionally racist, and that the Brexit vote was founded upon racism. Wholly untrue.

“Everything that they have done recently has been in order to capture the American market. I think they’ve realised that Britain is now a no-go zone for them. I’m just glad that the Queen isn’t here to see this. To see her own grandson, betray her legacy, betray his family and betray the institution that gave him and his wife everything. And upon everything that their wealth continues to rest.

“To do this to his father, when we’re at a time of sensitive transition, the succession isn’t complete yet. The whole point of this period is to try to create a positive atmosphere for the coronation, and they’re doing everything that they can to block that.

“This is not a documentary, it’s a mockumentary, it’s a propaganda project clearly to advance a certain narrative.

“For me it was just a galling lack of balance. All these allegations that the Palace were briefing against Meghan and Harry, and yet no mention was made of the fact that the Palace actually suppressed reports into Meghan’s alleged bullying in order to save her reputation.

“Those of us who were on the inside of this know how well the royal family were trying to improve Meghan’s lot by suppressing such stories. Of course, none of that suits the narrative and that was carefully cut out of this.”

He added: “We’ve known for a long time that Meghan is a delusional drama queen, the sad thing here was seeing how Prince Harry has gone so far down. You could see him cringing, but grinning and bearing it and it was one of the most painful things of all.

“He’s the John Lennon and she’s the Yoko Ono of the royal family.”
