Returning to Sandringham is an incredibly poignant moment for the King, a royal author has claimed.

Sandringham is where George VI, the Queen’s father, died.

Levin pointed out that the King opted to go to Sandringham on the day he died, February 6.

“That would have been quite a significant moment for the King”, she said.

“It is a very special anniversary. It’s an awful lot to think about and it’s a very sad, heavy thing to work though.”

The 75-year-old King was seen in public for the first time since his cancer diagnosis on Tuesday as he left Clarence House the day after starting his treatment, following a brief reunion with the Duke of Sussex.

Harry arrived in London from California on Tuesday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the announcement about the King’s health was made to the nation by Buckingham Palace.
