A congressional reporter said that Democratic leadership discussed a video of the Princess of Wales in a meeting

Princess Kate’s whereabouts was discussed by high-ranking US politicians after body double claims.

There have been claims that a video of Princess Kate walking with Prince William in Windsor over the weekend was a ‘lookalike.’

The Sun published footage on Monday of the royal couple coming out of a farm shop in Windsor.

Daniella Diaz, a congressional reporter for Politico said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the House Democratic leadership discussed the video.

Diaz wrote: "House Democratic leadership discussed tonight whether it was actually Kate Middleton or her body double in *that video* published by @TheSun, a person familiar with the conversation told me."

There was a mixed response from social media users about the discussion of Kate’s whereabouts by the Democratic leaders.

Some users believed the matter was not important enough to bring up stating: "Can’t find anything more important to discuss?"

While other users believed it is a misinformation problem and worth deliberating stating: "I think dis-/ misinformation campaigns are worth discussing, no matter how trivial they seem."

There have been weeks of speculation surrounding the Princess of Wales’s health spreading across social media and many conspiracy theories have been made up about where Kate is.

The theory that the video of Princess Kate in Windsor is a lookalike has been repeated by a BBC reporter.

Sonja McLaughlan, a British sports broadcaster, claimed that the photograph was “clearly not” Kate, and that Prince William may have been replaced by an actor.

Regarding a video comparing past pictures of the princess to her recent appearance she wrote: “It’s so obviously not Kate.

“Some newspapers are reporting it as fact. But it’s not her. No conspiracy theorist but all very odd.”

McLaughlan added to her post on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Disturbing that newspapers like @thetimes are reporting this as fact.

“Headline ‘Kate seen in public for the first time’ when it’s clearly not her. As someone has said. Could be a couple of lookalikes making mischief.”

Some people suggested that Kate’s professional lookalike, Heidi Agan, was actually in the video taken on Saturday.

Heidi Agan, a lookalike of Princess Kate, denied rumours that she was at the Windsor farm shop on Saturday

However, Agan put these rumours to rest stating: "I can tell you categorically it was not me at Windsor Farm Shop. I literally had to give people an alibi of where I was.”

She told The Mirror that she also believes that it was the Prince and Princess of Wales in the video.

Agan added: “I'm not an expert by any means, but I 100% think it is them.

"It has all gone too far now. It started as a joke about 'where is Kate' but now it has turned into a drama really, so it needs to stop."
