Princess Kate seen alongside Prince William in Windsor as public left 'stunned'

The royal is not expected to resume royal engagements until after Easter.

However, Princess Kate was seen by members of the public during a trip to her favourite farm shop in Windsor, according to The Sun.

A witness at the farm shop said: "After all the rumours that had been going around I was stunned to see them there.

"Kate was out shopping with William and she looked happy and she looked well.

"The kids weren’t with them but it’s such a good sign she was healthy enough to pop down to the shops."

It comes after the Princess of Wales was involved in a high-profile photo blunder last week.

Kate issued a statement apologising for editing the first official photograph released of her since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.

The photograph of the princess alongside her three children was shared to mark Mother's Day.

However, it was removed by major international photography agencies after editing issues were spotted.

Social media platforms such as Instagram have added a warning to the original post sharing the Mother's Day picture of Kate.

Kate wrote on social media following the storm around the photo: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.

"I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.

"I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C"

Prince William has continued carrying out royal engagements during Princess Kate's absence from public duties.

The Prince of Wales led the Royal Family alongside Queen Camilla at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey last week.
