Customers have been warned against eating the product

Lidl are calling on products to return a popular chocolate product due to pieces of plastic making it “unsafe” to eat.

The company is recalling Fin Carré Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts and are calling on customers to come forward in order to secure a full refund.


The food’s pack size if 100g.

Customers are urged to not eat the product as it presents a choking hazard.

The batch affected is all stock with a best before date of 19.12.2023 and lot code L30821A112.

The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers and thanked them for their co-operation.

Lidl GB said in a statement: “If you have bought the above product do not eat it.

“Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

“Any customers with queries or concerns can contact Lidl Customer Services on 0203 966 5566 or customer.services@lidl.co.uk”

Product recalls can be a frequent mistress for British shoppers to contend with, and are issued by traders when they harbour concerns about the safety of products they have sold.

Lidl added: Lidl GB is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product.

“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”
