Pro-Palestine rallies have taken place across the UK in the wake of Hamas' terror attacks on Israel

Israel’s ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, has expressed her disgust at pro-Palestine rallies amid ongoing conflict between Israel and terrorist group Hamas.

Speaking on the situation in Israel as it stands after more than a week of conflict with Hamas, Hotovely said “The West is under barbaric attack.”

"We cannot afford this type of horror in our streets, and we need to make sure that this threat will permanently be removed.”

While speaking with GB News’ political editor Christopher Hope, Hotovely was asked about the response to the crisis from those in the UK, in particular the pro-Palestine marches of support held in London and across the UK.

“My message to you as as British audience watching that, those people marching in London supporting those horrors of Hamas are supporting pure evil. You cannot support pure evil.”

“The timing, the fact that you're coming after this massacre, you should wave Israeli flags in the streets of London.

“This is such a simple moral decision to make. Do you support mothers and fathers protecting their children, their innocent babies? Or do you support people that kill innocent babies, behead them and rape innocent young women?”

Hotovely similarly took aim at the BBC for their failure to refer to Hamas as a terrorist group, despite being proscribed as such in UK law.

This is a disgrace, the fact that they don't call it terrorism. What can be more clear terrorism than what Hamas did on Saturday?”

Defending Israel’s conduct in the war, which has come under question by some, Hotovely said: “The main thing at the moment is the fact that our communities must be protected!

“That our children will never be in a threat, that terrorists will walk into their bedroom and will kill them when they're asleep.”

“Hamas is the one who's preventing all the people that we are trying to keep safe, they're preventing them to go to a safe shelter, where Israel is providing a safe route to the Palestinian people to go down South.“

Jewish schoolsPolice presence in Jewish areas in London have been increased to reassure communitiesPA

When asked what message she would send to the Jewish community in Britain, Hotovely said “I call to all my Jewish brothers and sisters that stand now in strong solidarity to Israel.”

“We will win this war. And I know the UK government is protecting you. I know that all the organisations in this community are strong and I know that we will together celebrate winning this war.”

Hotovely also commented on the closure of Jewish schools in the UK, spurred by safety fears as a result of a surge in anti-semitism following Hamas’s attacks.

“I’m planning to see all Jewish schools open and I know that there is enough protection for the Jewish schools. So I'm sure all Jewish kids will get back to their normal.”
