An urgent search was launched after the dog vanished from a garden
An 18-year-old Jack Russel was trapped down a well for 14 hours because she was "too polite to bark".
The dog, named Jessica, disappeared from the family garden in Penmaenmawr, Conwy, on Monday.
Her owner, Paula Chester, launched a search with her daughter Elisabeth Partington-Chester and searched into the evening for their pet.
It wasn't until the next day they were told Jessica had been found - 25ft down a well.

Chester said: "We went up the mountain, up to the quarry, calling out her name.
"We were out until about 10pm and must have walked miles but we couldn't find her. I've never cried so much in my life."
Firefighters were required to rescue Jessica who was stood quietly the entire time she was in the well.
'The fire brigade was brilliant,' Chester added.
"One of the firefighters was a young lady – I think she was called Millie - climbed down and brought Jessica back up wrapped in a towel. I cried again, this time tears of joy."
The pooch was taken to the vets where she got the all clear, Chester said: "The vets said she was tired and a bit dehydrated.
"They said she might be a bit stiff the next morning but she was fine."
The family has had Jessica since she was three and, despite her age, she remains in excellent condition.

Chester said: "She’s not a barker, not a yappy dog. That’s probably why we didn’t find her for a while. We were calling out her name but she never barked back!"
In a Facebook post, firefighters said Jessica had "found herself in a spot of bother".
They added: "After hours of searching, luckily the owners spotted her this morning trapped at the bottom, and our crews from Llandudno were on hand to rescue her."
