Mick Schumacher has not raced in F1 since being axed by Haas at the end of the 2022 season.

Alpine team principal Bruno Famin has admitted that Mick Schumacher is 'on the list' as he weighs up his options for next year.

There were no changes to the F1 grid for the 2024 season for the first time in the sport's history.

That locked Schumacher out of a potential return to the grid, meaning he turned his attention elsewhere to race regularly.

The German driver signed up for the 2024 World Endurance Championship with Alpine and he's already caught the attention of Famin.

The Alpine team boss has a big decision to make next year with Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly currently not seeing eye-to-eye.

And Famin has admitted that he will consider giving Schumacher a seat with Alpine next year.

"I'm very happy with Mick, he's super fast," he said.

"But that's not the main thing in the WEC, you have to drive at a consistently high level and have a good team spirit.

"I'm very impressed with him because he adapted his attitude to the long-distance races from day one.

"He has a very good relationship with his teammates.

"Everything is open for 2025, everyone talks to everyone.

"It would be a mistake not to have Mick on the list."

Schumacher was in attendance at the Monaco Grand Prix last week as he remains a reserve driver for both Mercedes and McLaren.

And the 25-year-old remains hopeful of making a return to F1 in the near future.

"My goal and my dream is to drive in Formula 1," he told Sky Germany.

"It has always been that way and it will always be that way.

"That's why we have to make sure that the dominoes fall in my direction and hopefully I end up with a seat.

"What I can do is to simply give my best performance in the WEC and also in Formula 1 and continue to perform well for the team as a reserve driver and continue to lead the discussions."
