Plans to transform King Charles's former Welsh holiday home into a wellness centre have collapsed after the tenant went into liquidation owing artists nearly £500,000.
Arusha Gallery, which leased Llwynywermod cottage near the Brecon Beacons National Park, confirmed on Tuesday it was entering liquidation proceedings. The gallery had planned to launch plant healing workshops and retreats at the property on June 21.
The venture's failure comes after months of financial turmoil at the gallery, with 10 artists claiming they are owed almost half a million pounds in missing payments. Social media posts promoting the wellness centre launch have been deleted.
The gallery's financial difficulties intensified following the death of co-director Guy Bargery in January.

Despite initially claiming to be working "exceptionally hard" to turn things around, the gallery has now closed its Edinburgh and London Fitzrovia spaces.
Companies House records show the gallery's latest accounts are more than two months overdue.
GB News contacted the Duchy of Cornwall, which owns the property, but its press office declined to comment.
The Telegraph reported in January that the monarch had leased his "beloved cottage" to Arusha Gallery, which planned to host plant healing workshops and retreats at the site.

The official launch was scheduled to coincide with the summer solstice on June 21.
The wellness centre plans represented a significant departure from the property's previous use as a royal retreat.
The gallery had promoted the venture on social media before deleting the posts as financial troubles mounted.
The Art Newspaper reported that the gallery confirmed its liquidation on Tuesday, effectively ending any prospect of the wellness centre opening as planned.

PAKing Charles purchased Llwynywermod for £1.2million through the Duchy of Cornwall in 2007, following a 40-year search for the ideal Welsh holiday home.
The property, situated on the outskirts of the Brecon Beacons National Park, served as a cherished retreat for the then-Prince of Wales.
The cottage's transition from royal residence to proposed wellness centre marked a new chapter for the estate.
However, with Arusha Gallery's liquidation, the future use of the property remains uncertain.
