Tenerife is the most affordable option on the list

Tenerife
The most affordable recommendation, Tenerife is a great year-round holiday spot. It is great for Britons looking to discover a beautiful part of Spain, and temperatures still reach the mid-20s in November.
Green explained: "Tenerife, the largest island in the archipelago, offers everything from azure seas and sandy beaches to charming towns, with winter temperatures that hover around a pleasant 20°C to 25°C.
"Santa Cruz, the capital, is wonderfully cosmopolitan with a thriving arts scene, while couples in particular are drawn to its vibrant cultural life. For something more active, hiking Mount Teide rewards you with panoramic views – without the long waits for the cable car."
Tenerife has must-visit beaches, beautiful views and vibrant towns, and at just four hours from the UK, it is a great contender for a winter getaway. The expert continued: "Whether you’re unwinding in Costa Adeje, discovering cliffside villages like Guía de Isora, or strolling through the historic streets of Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife offers experiences to suit every traveller.
"The food is another highlight: from fresh seafood to hearty local stews and traditional tapas, the smaller, tucked-away restaurants make every meal feel like a hidden gem."
Anse Le Raie, Mauritius
For something more luxurious, Mauritius is a strong contender. It takes longer to get to - around 12 hours - but it promises warmer temperatures and breathtaking beaches.
Green said: "If a chic Indian Ocean escape is what you’re after, Mauritius is an inspired choice, and Anse La Raie on the island’s northern coast is one of its most dazzling hidden gems.
"Even in winter, temperatures remain warm and inviting at around 26°C to 27°C, making it ideal for sun-drenched days on white-sand beaches and windsurfing across calm turquoise waters. The scenery here is among the island’s most striking, with ocean views that stretch out towards the northern islets."
The tropical haven has many highlights beyond its gorgeous beaches, including natural parks, hiking routes and local food and drink tours.
Green added: "A visit to the Cap Malheureux Chapel is a must; its bright red roof and lush gardens are beautifully set against the sea, with intricate wooden interiors and a holy-water basin carved from a giant clamshell.
"From the shoreline, you can also glimpse the rugged silhouette of Round Island, a protected natural reserve home to rare palms and reptiles."

For a more luxurious holiday, Britons can head to the Maldives
| GETTYThe Maldives
The Maldives has long been a bucket list destination, and those looking to tick it off should consider visiting in November. The expert said: "The Maldives remain one of the world’s most sought-after winter sun escapes - and with good reason. With temperatures averaging 27°C to 30°C, days are best spent snorkelling among technicolour coral reefs, sailing out on sunset cruises to watch dolphins, or unwinding with overwater spa treatments.
"For those seeking stillness, there’s nothing quite like reclining on soft white sands or dining by candlelight on a private stretch of beach. What sets the Maldives apart, though, is the unparalleled sense of seclusion, from private villas and iconic overwater bungalows to the impeccable service that makes every moment feel extraordinary."
Riviera Maya, Mexico
One of the most popular tourist spots, the Riviera Maya boasts incredible luxury resorts, Mayan ruins and long, picturesque beaches. Green said: “For those looking to travel a little further for winter sun, Mexico is a rewarding choice. Along the Riviera Maya, winter temperatures stay between 24°C and 28°C, perfect for long days on 30km of white sand and swimming in the calm Caribbean waters.
"Just offshore lies the world’s second-largest coral reef, where snorkelling and diving reveal an underwater world of vivid marine life.
"Riviera Maya offers up sun-drenched beaches, cultural landmarks, and outdoor adventure that creates a winter escape that feels both restorative and exciting.”
