Queen Camilla is maintaining her distance from the ongoing rift between King Charles and Prince Harry, according to insiders.
Palace sources have claimed the Queen "stays out of it" as trust remains the fundamental barrier to any reconciliation between the King and his youngest son.
Despite the Duke of Sussex's public calls for peace, including his recent BBC comments in May stating "I don't know how much longer my father has... He won't speak to me," it is understood that neither the King nor Prince William are prepared to bridge the divide.
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith told People that "the underlying issue is trust," adding: "The King and William don't trust Harry and Meghan with any kind of confidential conversation."

The Queen, who was sharply criticised in Harry's memoir Spare, has chosen not to involve herself in the family conflict.
Palace insiders have claimed that King Charles lacks supportive voices encouraging him to reconcile with his estranged son.
According to sources, Prince William has shown no interest in extending an olive branch to Harry and Meghan.
Valentine Low, author of the upcoming book Power and the Palace, told the publication: "There is not a good angel in his ear to say, 'Be a good dad and make the first move.'" Senior Palace aides, including Clive Alderton, who was mentioned in Harry's memoir, are reportedly unlikely to push for personal outreach.

GettyHarry's recent BBC comments about his father's health have been widely perceived as another setback to any potential reconciliation.
Low told the outlet: "It wasn't meant to be an attack, but it would be seen as one. It makes Charles reaching out even harder."
The Duke's public statement about not knowing "how much longer my father has" came whilst the King continues weekly cancer treatments for an undisclosed type of cancer. Despite Charles's determination to live life "as normal as possible," according to a senior aide, the timing of Harry's remarks has complicated an already strained relationship.
Catherine Mayer, author of Charles: The Heart of a King, also told People: "If you have that level of breach in a family, and you are estranged, you run that risk every day of having something unfathomable to deal with."
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
At the heart of the dispute lies the issue of security, with Harry maintaining that losing his official protection endangers his family.
The Duke has stated he is unwilling to bring Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, who turns four on June 4, to the UK without adequate protection.
Harry believes Charles can reverse the security decision, but the palace says the courts have "examined [it] repeatedly and meticulously." Low warned that the split could "potentially damage [Charles's] legacy."
For now, both father and son remain focused on their separate paths across the Atlantic. Harry is exploring new commercial ventures alongside his philanthropic work, whilst Charles continues his royal duties despite ongoing cancer treatment.
