The King is currently the only senior member of the Royal Family speaking to the Duke of Sussex.

King Charles's latest olive branch to Prince Harry has been spotted in new pictures of the monarch

During one of the King's royal engagements, he met the Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf at Buckingham Palace.

In photos of the two men shaking hands, a picture appearing to show Prince Harry and Prince William in military uniforms can be seen on in a frame on a side table.

The picture shows Prince Harry remains close to the King's heart despite no longer being a working member of the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex attended King Charles's Coronation on May 6.

Harry attended the landmark event without his wife Meghan Markle, who remained in the US.

The Duke rushed back from his father's Coronation in order to celebrate Prince Archie's fourth birthday in California just hours after the Coronation ceremony ended.

Whilst senior members of the Royal Family headed to Buckingham Palace to watch the flypast, the Duke of Sussex darted to Heathrow Airport to catch his flight home.

Earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex's spokesperson released a statement claiming that Harry and Meghan were involved in a "near catastrophic" car chase.

The incident occurred after the Sussexes had attended an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday

Prince Harry's spokesperson said on Wednesday: "Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms Ragland were involved in a near-catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi.

"This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.

"While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.

"Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all involved."

Meghan and Harry were travelling back from the 50th anniversary of the Ms Foundation for Women's award ceremony in New York when the incident unfolded.

King Charles has not been in touch with Harry since the statement from his son's spokesperson on Wednesday according to the Telegraph.
