Former Archwell COO Mandana Dayani has spoken out in support of the Duchess of Sussex "in light of these endless and damaging narratives".

Describing Harry and Meghan as "selfless humanitarians", Dayani recollected how the couple "put her at ease" when she attended her first royal gala.

She explained that she found the Duchess in her room "steaming her jumpsuit".

"Part of the profound injustice of having to speak publicly on this in light of these endless and damaging narratives is that so much of the kindness, mentorship, and support that Prince Harry and Meghan share with others happens quietly behind closed doors," Dayani, who served as the president of Archewell for 18 months in 2021 and 2022, told US Weekly.

She added: "Some of my favourite memories were during our weekly meetings in their Montecito home, where Meghan always served the most incredible lunches, snacks and her latest beautiful concoction."

Discussing her first royal gala, Dayani said: "I walked into their room [and found] Meghan finishing her own makeup and steaming her jumpsuit.

"We all toasted with a sip of champagne while Meghan danced to her favourite oldies playlist."

The ex-staffer also share details about how Harry and Meghan have helped during "global crisis".

Dayani said she traveled with Meghan to Uvalde, Texas, following the horrific 2022 school shooting.

She said: "For hours, [Meghan] sat in a room with grieving families, going one-by-one to each person — hugging them and crying with them."

She also claims that Meghan has kept in touch with the families affected by the tragedy.

"Throughout every global crisis, their first question was always: ‘How can we help?’," the former Archwell COO said.

Whether they were veterans, women, refugees, animals in harm, they both showed up.

"Never asking for anything in return. They picked up the phone, they got on airplanes, they asked questions, they did the work."

Dayani said she remains in contact with Meghan and are "planning their next lunch".

"These are kind, decent, caring people who I am very proud to call my friends."
