Kate said during the advert: "Join me this Christmas Eve for a special Carol Service, as we say a heartfelt thank you to all those supporting the very youngest members of our society during those crucial early years."

The advert comes as the Princess of Wales has shaken off the fallout from Omid Scobie's royal book Endgame.

On Tuesday, Kate was pictured beaming in a blue two-piece during a royal engagement.

The Princess of Wales opened the new Evelina London Children's Day Surgery Unit at London's Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital.

The royal was in good spirits during the engagement and appeared to have shaken off the naming row sparked by the Dutch version of Omid Scobie's Endgame.

Last week, Kate and King Charles were named, following an "error" by the Dutch publishers of Endgame, as the royals who allegedly had "concerns" about how dark Prince Archie's skin colour would be when he was born.

Scobie has denied leaking the names and said no version of Endgame identified the accused royals.

Meghan Markle claimed in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that there were "concerns and conversations" within the Royal Family about how dark Prince Archie's skin might be when he was born.
