The singer admitted he did not know the correct way to greet the Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle's 'vigorous' and unconventional greeting left a famous singer stunned.

Sam Ryder performed at Prince Harry's Invictus Games closing ceremony where he met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He admitted that seeing Meghan singing along to his song "blew his mind".

Scott Mills asked the singer during an interview on Radio 2: "You met Meghan Markle recently and what did you do?"

Ryder replied: "Fist bump! [laughs] I too was nervous, didn’t really know the etiquette and just threw one of those.

"But she threw it right back, like with vigour. She’s wicked, she’s a legend."

He continued: "We were playing Mountain at the Invictus Games closing ceremony it was so cool.

"That was beyond music, so emotional, something so cool to be a part of.

"Meghan was really lovely and Harry just really welcoming, came to say hello before the show and Meghan was singing the words – blew my mind a bit.

"The right words too... she was going for it. Legend."

Meghan Markle has been spotted at multiple live music concerts this year.
