Prince Harry was treated differently to Prince William by some Royal Family staff as the brothers were growing up

Prince Harry is unrecognisable and has "lost the plot" by attacking members of the Royal Family, according to Paul Burrell, a former royal butler.

Burrell said that Prince William and Prince Harry were equal in their mother Princess Diana's eyes but that some royal staff would give William preferential treatment like giving the eldest sibling n extra sausage for breakfast.

He said: “In their mother’s eyes, they were absolutely equal.

“The princess doted on them both.

“But I can see that Harry found it tough living up to the standard set by William.”

Burrell added: “Diana begged Charles not to send Harry to Eton through fear her son would have a tough time at the school in his brother’s shadow.

“But Diana’s plea ultimately fell on deaf ears.

“He went to Eton and suffered the indignity of being constantly compared to William.

“William was brighter than Harry and would be king one day, how can you compete with that?”

The royal butler also told The Sun that he feels Harry has “lost the plot”.

He added: “I don’t recognise him anymore.

“He’s clearly hurt and angry at being the spare and so he’s lashing out from that place.”

The Duke of Sussex used his memoirs to criticise several members of the Royal Family with his brother Prince William and his stepmother Camilla suffering multiple digs.

However, new polling conducted between January 5-6 shows that Prince Harry's popularity has dropped in the UK following the release of extracts of his book.

The latest YouGov poll shows that just 26 per cent of Britons have a positive view of Prince Harry.

This represents a seven-point drop in popularity for royal in around a month.

Sixty-four percent of Brits that were polled said they had a negative view of the Duke of Sussex.

Prince William has suffered multiple attacks from his brother in Spare and the Prince of Wales's popularity has also suffered as a result.

The first in line to the throne's popularity has fallen by eight points but remains significantly higher than Harry's levels.

Sixty-nine percent of Britons still hold a positive view of Prince William, which is down from 77 percent in December 2022.
