She admitted 'there is more to do' to ensure people in all parts of Britain feel the benefits

Chancellor Rachel Reeves has hailed new figures showing the UK economy grew by 0.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2025, making it the fastest-growing in the G7 for the first half of the year.

Reeves said GDP per capita was also up 0.7 per cent since the general election, meaning “more money in the pockets of working people.”

She pointed to growth across manufacturing, services and construction as evidence her policies were working.

But she admitted “there is more to do” to ensure people in all parts of Britain feel the benefits.
