Helen Cleaver from Whitehaven has hit out at the Westminster bubble, telling GB News’s Bev Turner that she is “sick of it”.

It comes as in-party squabbling and political tensions engulf Britain’s legislative chamber, and Helen believes MPs are forgetting who they are representing as a result.

She vowed not to forgive the Conservative Government for the “heartbreaking” closure of her restaurant after the Covid pandemic.

Asked about whether the Tories will end up with a “bloody nose” from the election, Cleaver said she expects many not to even bother voting.

“I think you’ll find maybe half of the population won’t even vote at all”, she said.

“They’ve got no confidence in any government whatsoever. People are just sick of it.”
