Veteran broadcaster Alastair Stewart has reacted to Labour's supermajority after Britain went to the polls to decide the fate of the country.
He explained why GB News is now so important to holding the Government to account.
He said: "It's our job here, with the support of the most brilliant team around, is to try and make sense of it for you and to get interviews that other people don't get and to give you inside views on all of these issues that you might not hear elsewhere.
"I was just talking to a journalist from the Financial Times and I said the key difference between GB News, where I love being, and ITN, where I used to work and don't miss for a minute, and the BBC where I only worked on the radio very, very briefly is that we can do what we want within the rules.
"Now we need to be careful to be within the rules.
"But other than that, I can say what I want and I can express whatever views I want and get into a debate with Labour people, Tory people, Liberal people, Greens, Reform, about that and you drop in on it, eavesdrop on it, and I hope it helps you understand a lot more what you've just done in this extraordinary general election.
"So thanks for watching."
