This is the astonishing moment a gang of masked raiders smashed their way into a jewellers on a busy road in Birmingham.

The robbers, donning balaclavas, are seen reversing shattering the shop front glass at around midday on Thursday afternoon, March 3.
One of the thugs is seen rushing up the road wielding an axe as the shocking situation unfolds.
The armed man is then seen attempting to intimidate an onlooker who continues to film the drama from a grocery store across the street.
He is heard shouting: "What, what, what, get the f*** in the shop, get in your shop" while onlookers question whether anybody has phoned the police.
As smoke plumes engulf the street, the man is seen stepping onto the mess left behind him from the raid as he appears to wait for his accomplices.
Members of the public in the near vicinity of the incident are then heard trying to take down the registration of the vehicle being used by the group of thugs.
The axe-wielding man then emerges from the shopfront before making a run up the street, as concerned-looking workers from nearby shops digest the shocking action taking place.
The gang then bundle into the van before racing away from the scene. It is not yet known if they were able to steal anything during the raid.
West Midlands Police said in a statement: "We’re investigating a ram raid at a jewellery shop on Ladypool Road, Birmingham, this afternoon.
"We were called to the store at around 12.20pm. Fortunately, no one was in the store at the time, so there have been no injuries reported to us.
"Significant damage was caused to the shop in the ram raid.
"Three vehicles believed to have been involved in the ram raid have since been recovered and we are working with the shop owner to establish exactly what was taken.
"Our investigations are in the early stages and we are working to identify the people responsible.
