American Lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents eight victims of Jeffrey Epstein, has spoken to GB News after the Duke of York and his accuser Virginia Giuffre have reached an out-of-court settlement in the civil sex claim filed in the US.
In a letter submitted to the United States District Court on Tuesday, Ms Giuffre’s lawyer David Boies wrote jointly with Andrew’s lawyers to say that the parties had “reached a settlement in principle”.
Lisa Bloom said "I don't see anything in the settlement that would have an NDA. I'd be very surprised if Virginia would agree to that."
American attorney Lisa Bloom told GB News that she "hails" Virginia Giuffre's victory, that she believes the settlement does not include a non-disclosure agreement.
"My clients and I hail her victory today. She was able to accomplish what no one else has ... to make a significant contribution to her charity"
"She wants to move on with her life. These cases are extraordinarily painful. We have nothing but respect and admiration for her."
Lisa Bloom said "there is not a confidentially clause, meaning that she is still free to tell her story and I hope that she does because she's been a terrific advocate for victims"
Lisa Bloom said that, legally, "it is now over."
