A landlord who cut through a door with a chainsaw in a bid to evict someone has claimed he is the “most compassionate” in Britain.

Viral footage showed Samuel Leeds, 32, using a chainsaw to cut a huge square out of the property’s front door.

Speaking on GB News, the property investor detailed the incident and said he was well within his rights to take such drastic action.

“I’m probably the most compassionate landlord in the UK”, he said.

“For the record, I don’t go in and kick out tenants real fast. I’m a compassionate person.

“If there’s someone that’s not paying and they don’t have a right to stay, eviction is necessary.”

He went on to add that he was perfectly justified in his actions, arguing no laws were broken in the process.

“The media jumped on the story really fast. Everyone was making out it’s illegal. It’s not”, he told Patrick Christys.

“If a guest doesn’t pay, you can get them out instantly. It’s the same as if you’re at a hotel.”

The social media personality, who is known for making outlandish claims, presented no evidence that the incident came as a result of an eviction.

It is also illegal for anyone other than a court bailiff to carry out an eviction.

Leeds told Patrick Christys that being described as a millionaire is “embarrassing”, as he is a self proclaimed multi-millionaire.

“I make over £1 million a month. If I was a millionaire, I’d be very embarrassed”, he said.

Questioned by Patrick Christys about him being able to afford a tenant being unable to pay rent, Leeds said that is a “terrible” suggestion.

“You can say, Asda can afford for someone to go in and steal bread, but we wouldn’t because it’s immoral”, he said.

“You should pay for the services you have. It’s irrelevant how rich I am if someone’s not.”
