A Ukrainian government building has been hit by a missile strike in the country’s second largest city, Kharkiv as Russian forces continue to invade their neighbour.
Horrifying footage released by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs shows the administration building on fire and accompanied by a large plume of smoke.
The attack occurred at 08:01 local time (06:01 GMT) on Tuesday morning, a timestamp on the footage suggests.
Alongside the footage posted on social media, the Ministry wrote: “Russia is waging war in violation of international humanitarian law.
“Kills civilians, destroys civilian infrastructure. Russiaʼs main target is large cities that now fired at by its missiles.”
Speaking after the latest attacks, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on the West to do more to put an end to what he described as "barbaric" attacks.
"Barbaric Russian missile strikes on the central Freedom Square and residential districts of Kharkiv. Putin is unable to break Ukraine down. He commits more war crimes out of fury, murders innocent civilians," Kuleba said.
"The world can and must do more. INCREASE PRESSURE, ISOLATE RUSSIA FULLY."
The attack entered its sixth day on Tuesday, with Russia still struggling to capture the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
Satellite images have showed a convoy of Russian military around 40 miles long north of Kyiv with Vladimir Putin remaining incessant on removing Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelenskyy from his post.
Representatives from Ukraine and Russia met near the Belarusian border on Monday, but talks ended without finding a ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan will open an investigation into allegations of Russian war crimes and crimes against humanity, he said on Monday evening.
