Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's tensions with the Royal Family appeared to deepen on Monday after another interview conducted by the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan said she felt free to "say anything" about The Firm following her decision, taken alongside husband Harry, to quit frontline royal duties and move to California.
The Duchess spoke about Harry's relationship with his dad, Prince Charles, saying the Duke felt he had "lost" his father in the process of cutting cords with their royal lives.
Meghan told The Cut: "Harry said to me, 'I lost my dad in this process.' It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision."
Question marks have arisen over Harry's relationship with his father.

In a clarification, allies of the couple are believed to have insisted that Meghan is making a reference to the relationship she has with her own father.
A source close to the Prince of Wales is believed to have spoken to the Daily Mail regarding his relationship with Harry, saying he would be "saddened" if his son felt their connection was lost.
They added: "The Prince of Wales loves both of his sons."
The couple have conducted various interviews since their Royal Family split, including a controversial chat with Oprah Winfrey, where Harry spoke of his father no longer accepting his calls.
In her latest interview, Meghan speculated over whether the couple's relationship with the royals could be healed.
She said: "It takes a lot of effort to forgive. I've really made an active effort, especially knowing that I can say anything."
Meghan's apparent description of the terms of Harry's relationship with his father has threatened to cause new hurt to the Royal Family.
She said to interviewer Allison P Davis: "Harry said to me, 'I lost my dad in this process'. It doesn't have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that's his decision."
