On Wednesday the UN voted overwhelmingly for a resolution which publicly deplored Russia’s and Putin's invasion of Ukraine. 141 of the 193 member states voted for the resolution.
The resolution called for the immediate withdrawal of Russian forces in Ukraine to end Putin's invasion.

The resolution is global expression of united disapproval in Russia's invasion and highlighted the divide and insolation in Russia's status from the rest of the World.
The resolution also set a clear divide from those who chose to support Russia by voting against the resolution, the countries included Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea and Syria.
But two main geo-political players notably abstained from the vote, India and China.
Politico have reported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to abstain has caused "widespread disgust among Western leaders" for supporting Putin.
Vladimir Putin held talks with Prime Minister Modi on the urgent evacuation of Indian students trapped in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, the Kremlin have said.
During their video call which was held on Wednesday, the same day as the UN vote, Putin said he had ordered Russian soldiers “to ensure the safe exit of Indian nationals from the armed conflict zone and their return to their homeland,” according to a Kremlin statement.
