A brit was “beaten to death by bouncers” outside a bar in Cyprus before a mob gathered outside the hospital he was in and smashed its window with a sledgehammer.

Huseyin Mavideni was attacked by the door staff outside a club in Iskele, Cyprus in the early hours of Thursday morning.

He was allegedly punched in the head repeatedly by bouncers, with one even stamping on his skull.

Mavideni was then rushed to Famagusta State Hospital, according to North Cyprus News.

Sadly, the 29-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival, despite medics’ best efforts to save him.

As doctors tried to revive him, a mob – believed to be made up of Mavideni’s grieving relatives – smashed the windows of the A&E department with a sledgehammer.

Images show the reception area covered with glass on the floor.

A 26-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of the killing.

A manhunt has also been launched for another suspect believed to be involved in the brutal attack.

Dr Eyüp Göksu from the hospital told Yeniduzen: "He died when he came to the hospital. The cops are investigating right now. We will receive detailed information from our doctors on duty." He was reportedly in the country with his father, who was undergoing medical treatment.

The news comes after a similar attack which took place last month, involving an 18 year-old Brit and four bouncers in Greece.

James Taylor was attacked by the door staff of CherryBay nightclub in Laganas, on the Greek island of Zakynthos.

Taylor claims that the attack happened just because he had stood on a chair to take a selfie with friends. The bouncer tried to grab the teenager, but soon disappeared.

“The bouncer came back ten seconds later with the rest of the bouncers who were in the video and they took me outside and started beating me up,' Taylor said. 'That's all it took, something as little as standing on a chair.”

Footage shows the bouncers taking it in turns to punch, kick and elbow the teenager, before proceeding to knee him in the face.

The 18-year-old suffered two black eyes, a swollen jaw, bumps on the head, a bust lip and a cut on knee, he told the MailOnline.
