Saka was already a doubt for England's friendly against Switzerland on Saturday

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has left the England national team camp after testing positive for Covid-19, the Football Association has confirmed.

Saka was already a doubt for England's international friendly against Switzerland at Wembley Stadium on Saturday due to illness.

A statement from the FA said: “Bukayo Saka has left the England camp having tested positive for Covid-19.

“The Arsenal player had been isolating from the rest of the squad at St George’s Park since Wednesday and has now returned home.

“No further replacements are planned with a squad of 24 in place for the forthcoming fixtures.”

Saka is the latest player to pull out of the squad after Sam Johnstone, Trent-Alexander Arnold, Aaron Ramsdale, Reece James and Tammy Abraham all previously withdrew.

After Switzerland, England will also take on Ivory Coast at Wembley on Tuesday evening.
