When he heard the unique sound, Dan said: 'Oh my goodness Ann, what was that'

Ann Widdecombe was left red-faced after her cockerel ringtone sounded out during an interview with Dan Wootton on GB News.

While Dan was introducing the interview, the sound of cockerel rang out, much to the confusion of the GB News presenter.

When asked "oh my goodness Ann, what was that", a shocked Ms Widdecombe said: "i'm afraid, I apologise, that was my call tone on my mobile."

Ms Widdecombe went on to speak out on the ongoing Rwanda immigration scheme.

Asked how the Government can overcome legal action against the plan, she said: "First of all, Priti Patel needs to hit home what she's already said and she's said it but i don't think people have really taken it on board.

"Which is that it isn't just the case that when the courts finally allow us to do it, it will start then.

"Anybody that is coming now, will be liable to be sent to Rwanda as soon as the Government is able to do that.

"So i think she's got to reiterate that message.

"If you come to Britain now, don't think you're just in time and you'll get away with it because the policy hasn't actually started to be implemented.

"If you come now, then you are liable to be sent to Rwanda even if not immediately that's where you could end up.

"If she doesn't get that message across, then i think there will be a continual flow across the Channel."
