A youthful appearance can be attributed to a range of factors. While genetics plays its part, skin care, diet choices, exercise, and lifestyle are important too.
GB News is speaking to women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond about their anti-ageing secrets.
One woman in her 50s recently divulged the skin care product she uses every day without fail.
Another age-defying beauty told GB News that others are shocked when she reveals her age - and it's all down to three habits.
Most recently, 48-year-old Cree Scott shared that, as well as practising good skin care, she takes care of her physical and mental well-being.
"At 48, I'm often told I look closer to 35, and while I’m grateful for the compliment, I believe it's less about products and more about presence," Cree told GB News.
She explained: "My approach to ageing gracefully has always centred around inner well-being and intentional living.
"I prioritise hydration, sleep, and movement, and I enjoy a balanced diet that nourishes me from the inside out."
But the "real" secret to age-defying looks? According to Cree, it's all about being joyful and mitigating stress.
"I laugh often, surround myself with people who energise me, and protect my peace," she said.
"Stress ages us faster than anything else, so I invest in routines that restore me: mindfulness, gratitude, and taking time away from screens.
"For me, looking youthful is a by-product of feeling whole. It' not about chasing youth, it's about honouring vitality."
Experts have confirmed that stress can make you look older, with the skin gurus at Clarins stating: "Research has proven the link between stress and sudden rapid ageing of the skin."
They warned that over time, it can weaken skin structure, degrade collagen and elastin, and impair the skin's barrier function, so combating stress is definitely recommended - think being in nature, yoga, mindfulness, or journaling.
As well as de-stressing, an excellent skin care routine can give you an anti-ageing boost.
Cree said: "I keep my skin care simple: vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night, and sunscreen always.
