The much-loved chef died in February with his wife Lilliana and best friend Si King beside him

Dave Myers’ widow Lilliana Orzac has updated fans of the late chef about how her life has felt “empty and sad” since he died in February.

The Hairy Bikers star died earlier this year following a battle with cancer after publicly announcing the diagnosis in 2022.

While Orzac hasn’t spoken out very much publicly since losing her 66-year-old husband, she did break her silence back in March as she thanked Hairy Bikers fans for their support.

In a heartbreaking post written this week, Orzac reflected on how her life has changed and how she plans to move forward with Dave in her heart.

Taking to social media, The Mirror reports how she penned: “Life stood still when I lost Dave. It still seems still, empty and sad.

“And I know it might seem too soon to even consider moving on. How can I move on from this wonderful, exhilarating, out of ordinary on so many levels, life that I shared with an extraordinary man? When he is everywhere and in everything around me?

“I tell you how… I MOVE FORWARD WITH HIM! He will always be part of me, I am who I am because of him, he helped me shape the last 20 years of my life. I am ME because of HIM.

"There is grief to go through, but I won't let that keep me stuck, or fall into illness… because he wouldn't want that for me!

“I plan to live my adventures and take him with me! Experience life with him in my heart! Make his impact on my life meaningful!

“Write my next chapters with the excitement and the joy he taught me life can be lived with! Carry his zest for life with me! Laugh and love like Dave! Having Dave Days for the rest of my life! I'M MOVING FORWARD WITH HIM!”

The beloved chef died with his wife, best friend and Hairy Bikers co-star Si King and his family by his side.

Myers never revealed what form of cancer he’d been diagnosed with, preferring to keep some details private as he battled the illness.

He did provide updates with fans about his treatment, and returned to screens for The Hairy Bikers Go West, which aired recently.

The final episode of the pair’s adventure aired last month, packing an emotional punch as the poignant scenes aired so soon after Myers’ death.

As the concluding episode came to an end, a reel of the duo’s final series was shown, with both men reflecting on their journey and Myers’ health battle.

“We planned to go west mate, and we’ve made it,” King states, to which Myers adds: “We have, and it’s been tough at times.

“I had chemotherapy all the time we’ve been filming,” the late star reflected, admitting: “It hasn’t been easy… [but] we’ve got there, and it’s just a wonderful feeling.”

In another clip, Myers is heard commenting: “Being here today with you, you know, I long for it.”
