If you want access to the complete lineup of Sky TV channels, you'll need to subscribe to Ultimate TV

SKY TV PRESS OFFICE

If you already pay for an Ultimate TV bundle from Sky, you'll now have access to Disney+ Standard with Ads. This free perk was added on March 17 to new and existing subscribers. And it's not the only shake-up coming to the Ultimate TV package in the coming weeks, with Sky poised to include a subscription to HBO Max at no extra cost next week.

Just use "Get Disney+" as a voice command and follow the on-screen steps, or head to Sky.com to unlock the subscription to watch on your Sky Stream, Sky Glass TV, Sky Q, or via the Disney+ app on Android or iPhone.

For the first time, a Disney+ Standard with Ads subscription (worth £5.99) will be included as part of the Ultimate TV bundle, with the service tightly integrated into SkyOS

SKY TV PRESS OFFICE

By the end of this month, Sky TV viewers will enjoy five subscriptions to separate streamers worth £20 per month, including Disney+ Standard with Ads, Netflix Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads, discovery+ Entertainment, and Hayu. Unlike Netflix, which is included with all packages from Sky TV, you'll need to subscribe to the £22 per month Ultimate TV bundle to access Disney+ and the others. Be aware – that price rises to £24 from next month.

If you were to subscribe to each of these separately:

  • Netflix Standard with Ads | £5.99
  • Disney+ Standard with Ads | £5.99
  • HBO Max Basic with Ads | £4.99
  • Hayu | £5.99
  • discovery+ Entertainment | £3.99

If you'd rather upgrade to Disney+'s Standard and Premium plans, Sky will apply an identical £5.99 saving to these packages – unlocking higher picture quality, ad-free streaming, and access across more devices. Already have a subscription to Disney+? You can switch your existing account over to the Sky TV bundle.

Continue Watching will bring together in-progress boxsets from Disney+ for the first time, letting you jump back into the action with a single tap on the remote, alongside shows from Netflix, Prime Video, and Apple TV too

SKY TV PRESS OFFICE

The engineers at Sky have worked hard to integrate Disney+ shows and films into the custom-designed SkyOS platform that powers Sky Stream and Sky Glass. Shows from Disney+ will be recommended in carousels across the software based on your viewing history alongside Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV. You can add boxsets from Disney+ into the Playlist feature, letting you jump straight back into the last episode where you left off.

For the first time, Disney+ content will show up in Continue Watching – the carousel featured at the top of the main menu, designed to keep track of all your viewing from across live terrestrial channels, on-demand boxsets, and movies. While Netflix shows have been integrated into this feature for some time, Disney+ wasn't supported.

Shows and films from Disney+ will be prominently featured on the Sky homepage when you switch on your Sky Glass, Sky Stream, or Sky Q box

From today, whether it’s the next episode of Bluey or picking up a series where they left off the night before, you'll be able to easily find everything in a one-stop-shop featured on the Sky homepage. With the latest refresh, you'll no longer need to memorise which streaming service catalogue houses your favourite shows – with everything presented in a single carousel, bringing together everything you're watching from across the biggest streamers.

Everything integrates with Sky voice control too, so you'll be able to search for shows across apps and control their TV with ease — just say, “Hello Sky, play Grey’s Anatomy” to get the next episode.

Lastly, if you subscribe to Sky Cinema, you'll get a new Disney+ Cinema channel, a collection of the best movies from Disney+ to showcase the great content in the full Disney+ app experience. This is launching on EPG channel 305, giving access to even more great movies as part of their subscription, alongside hit films from Sky, Paramount+ and NBCUniversal. With around 50 titles at launch, it will blend beloved favourites from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, with new movies every week. Films coming soon will include Marvel Studios’ Iron Man, Deadpool and Wolverine, 20th Century Studios’ Death on the Nile, Alien: Romulus, Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo and Up.

There will also be a handpicked selection of Disney+ favourites on Sky’s linear channels, bringing some big hits straight to the TV guide, from gripping Star Wars series Andor to critically acclaimed drama FX’s The Bear and three-part Original series, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story. Titles will air across Sky Atlantic, Sky One and Sky Witness for eligible Sky customers and NOW Entertainment customers.

In total, Sky's Ultimate TV bundle will include 5x standalone streaming services worth over £20 a month

Disney+ shows and movies are also integrated within the Sky Q homepage for those customers, including in the Today’s Top Picks rail and Continue Watching, for a seamless experience. You can expect the same experience when HBO Max launches on March 26, and Hayu is integrated into the platform from July.

If you watch via Sky Glass, Sky Stream, or Sky Q and already pay for a Disney+ subscription with your monthly Sky TV bills, you won't have to change anything — the discount will automatically be applied.

Speaking at an event earlier this month, Sky Chief Consumer Officer, Sophia Ahmad, said: "This marks a new era for Sky and NOW. In a world-first, we’re bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu into a single Sky TV subscription. Nowhere else offers this breadth of incredible entertainment in a fully integrated experience, with everything customers love watching side by side so viewers can jump from show to show with ease.

"Millions of existing customers will get easy access to this new line-up as standard at unbeatable value. All NOW Entertainment customers will get access to HBO Max, included at no extra cost, fully integrated within the NOW app. We’re proud to continue Sky’s legacy of innovation, making it easier than ever for people to enjoy the very best entertainment and best experience, all in one place.”
