Mr Levy, who served as the Premier League's longest-serving chairman across 24 years at the north London club, faced criticism from supporters who felt he placed commercial priorities above on-pitch achievements.
When asked about Tottenham's current standing in the table, Mr Levy described his feelings with a single word: "Emptiness but I'm optimistic that we will remain in the Premier League."
The club sits precariously just two points above the relegation zone, having accumulated only 38 points from 36 matches this campaign.
Their struggles were underlined by the fact that they failed to secure a league victory in 2026 until April 25.

Mr Levy insisted that during his tenure, the prospect of fighting against the drop was inconceivable.
"Never, no, not in a million years," he responded when questioned whether he had observed any warning signs of such a predicament.
He added that when the £1 billion Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was being constructed in 2019, "relegation was not something we ever considered."
The former chairman was awarded his CBE for services to charity and the community in Tottenham, recognising his work supporting education, health and social inclusion, as well as the employment opportunities generated through the stadium's construction.

Despite the team's dismal league form, Mr Levy confirmed he has no intention of stepping away from the stands.
"It's in my blood," he said.
Mr Levy also reflected on his ambitions during his time at the helm, acknowledging he had hoped for greater success.
"What I would have hoped for is winning the Premier League, winning the Champions League, easier said than done," he admitted.
