This cooking gadget is less than half the price of Ninja's model

You can have a new air fryer sent to your home for under £80.

Salter has slashed the prices of its dual air fryer on its website to just £79.99 — was £139.99. It resembles Ninja's version, which is also on sale for £179.99, reduced from £199.99. Both models have several comparable features like size, cooking presets, digital controls, and more.

If you're not familiar with Salter, it's a British homeware brand that offers various cookware products — including various kitchen scales, blenders, stand mixers, and more.

Air fryers are a great addition to your kitchen appliances if you're looking to cut down on your household bills. These popular countertop gadgets only require around half the electricity that a conventional oven uses, making them 50% more efficient.

Unsurprisingly, these gadgets have skyrocketed in popularity with Britons. Recent research from Leatherhead Food Research found 65% of UK households own an air fryer, and 77% of owners cook with it at least two to three times a week.

Here's how Ninja and Salter's dual air fryers stack up against each other.

The Salter Dual Air Fryer features an extra-large 8.2-litre capacity split across two cooking chambers, making it ideal for family meals and cooking different foods at once. With 12 cooking functions, sync and match settings, adjustable temperature controls, and pause-and-resume features, it offers flexible, hassle-free cooking. Designed for healthier frying with little to no oil, it can also help reduce energy costs compared to a standard electric oven.

Both appliances will let you cook two different foods at once, each with its own settings, so everything lands on the table ready to eat at the same time. It's ideal for families all wanting to cook something different or anyone who loves a proper Sunday roast with all the trimmings.

When it comes to size, the Salter edges ahead with a generous 8.2 litre capacity spread across its two cooking chambers. The Ninja sits slightly smaller at 7.6 litres, but the brand says you can still fit a 1.6kg chicken in each drawer, and the whole device can feed up to eight people comfortably.

It's worth noting the width of these gadgets in case you're tight on counter space. These are the measurements for both Ninja and Salter's air fryers:

Salter: 32 x 36.1 x 40cm
Ninja: 46.81 x 41.61 x 40.79cm

Ninja claims you could save up to 75% on your energy bills, while Salter promises a more modest 59% compared to cooking a chicken in a standard 1.8kW electric oven.

But if you love having options, the Salter wins hands down with 12 cooking functions versus the Ninja's six.

The Ninja covers Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, and Reheat, while the Salter throws in extras like dessert-making and fruit dehydrating.

The Ninja comes with dishwasher-safe parts, making cleanup easy after a meal.

The Salter, unfortunately, doesn't offer this convenience. It comes with non-stick parts, though, designed to be easily wiped down after use.

Both models also feature sync functions that ensure your two compartments finish cooking at the same time, which is great for getting everything plated up together.
