Princess Diana rejected Dodi Fayed's marriage proposal in the new series of The Crown, just hours before they died.
Elizabeth Debicki and Khalid Abdalla portrayed the couple in the fifth and sixth seasons of the popular royal show.
In episode three, titled "Dis-Moi Oui" which translates to "Say yes, darling, say yes", the late Princess of Wales and her Egyptian boyfriend Dodi were dining at The Ritz hotel in Paris.
After getting lots of attention in the restaurant, the couple travelled upstairs to eat.
Debicki said: "Sorry. Never-ending chaos of being with me."
Abdalla responded: "Actually, I owe you the apology. You wanted to get back to London, but there was a reason we needed to come via Paris.
"And that was my fault."
The Crown then showed the film producer taking a jewellery box out of his pocket, to which Princess Diana asked: "What are you doing?"

Dodi, portrayed by Abdalla, said: "It's the ring you said you liked in Monte Carlo. A ring with a specific title, Dis Moi Oui.
"And so I have a question I wanna ask you, to which I hope you will indeed tell me yes."
After getting on one knee, Debicki depicted the princess getting in a panic and exclaiming: "No, no, no. Stop I can't bear it, it's madness. Please get up."
The Crown showed the princess letting Dodi down gently with her rejection.

She stated: "I'm nowhere near ready for another marriage. And you've barely untangled yourself from the last person you proposed to."
This was a reference to Dodi's former American fiance, Kelly Fisher.
After discussing that they intended to remain friends, Diana and Dodi were shown deciding to return to his apartment in Paris before the princess went back to London the next day.
This car ride was when Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed tragically lost their lives in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel.
