It was advertised that the Princess of Wales would attend a Trooping the Color ceremony in June 'before consulting palace officials'
Royal historian Hugo Vickers has claimed that Kensington Palace "was irritated" over the "embarrassing mistake" from the British government on Kate's attendance at an event.
The announcement on the U.K. Ministry of Defense's website drew attention because the June appearance would be the first major official duty confirmed for Kate, 42, since she underwent abdominal surgery.
But army officials seemed to have jumped the gun because Prince William and Kate’s office, Kensington Palace, hasn’t confirmed any scheduled public events for Kate.
Speaking to GB News Vickers said: "I imagine that probably Kensington Palace was a bit irritated by this.
"I guess that probably some some sort of ill informed person just put out the normal document that would be put out at this time of the year.
"Expressing who's going to actually be present on the day. Without checking on the issue of privacy."
