Angela Levin has praised the “dignified” response of Prince William to King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.
The monarch’s illness has thrust William back into the fold despite him intending to take a break and care for his family while Princess Kate recovers from surgery.
Speaking on GB News, royal author Angela Levin heaped praise after William attended a gala fundraising dinner for London’s Air Ambulance Charity, where he thanked well-wishers.
“He was incredibly dignified”, she said.
“He is the sort of heir to the throne that any country would want to see in my view.
“He doesn’t go hysterical and make a drama of it like his brother and I think also he didn’t want the people there to feel that they had to be very miserable and low, just as he probably feels in reality that they could.”
Arriving at the dinner, William waved to people gathered outside the venue.
He said: “We really appreciate everyone’s kind messages, thank you.”
William then mingled with guests including actor Tom Cruise inside.
