Andy Burnham says there is a case for corporate manslaughter charges to be handed out after a damning report into the infected blood scandal was released.

The former Health Secretary says the findings, which were published today, should “rock Whitehall to its foundations” in a scathing rant about its ramifications.

Asked why he did not act on the matter while in a position to do so, the Mayor of Greater Manchester insists he did make a start.

In a GB News interview, he lamented the “strength of the cover-up” put in place by Whitehall.
