Liberal Democrats leader Ed Davey launches local election campaign in Harpenden

Leader of the Liberal Democrats Ed Davey has launched his local election campaign in Harpenden, warning Conservative leader Rishi Sunak that "time is running out".

Davey told the crowds: "Time is running out for Rishi Sunak. He might have bottled the May election.

"He might be hoping the tide will turn as he squats in Downing Street for a few months more. But even the Prime Minister can't deny voters across England the chance to cast their vote in the local elections on May the 2nd."
