GB News presenter Alastair Stewart gave his verdict on the election result
Veteran broadcaster Alastair Stewart gave his verdict on the election result which has given Keir Starmer a 'super-majority'.
He said: "'I was working for ITV news at the time of the Margaret Thatcher landslide, and also at the time of the Tony Blair landslide, so I've seen some of it before, but I also know the differences.
"The key difference, in my humble opinion, is that Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair, whether you be on the left or the right, it doesn't matter because they're both superstars, had a very, very clear, precise plan of what they wanted to do with this great country of ours.
"And I genuinely don't think that Sir Keir does.

"What Sir Keir has got is a majority. Which may be slightly vulnerable because Nigel Farage and Reform did well.
"The Liberal Democrats also did surprisingly well, so it's going to be quite a fractious House of Commons when it comes back in a week and a half time."
