'You're being disingenuous' Heated debate breaks out on as MPs crackdown on dangerous cyclists

MP's have backed a law change that says dangerous cycling that causes death could land people with punishments as harsh as motorists

A debate on GB News got very heated as they argued over MP's plans to crack down on dangerous cyclists.

On Wednesday night, MPs voted in favour of an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill that would create three new offences: causing death by dangerous cycling; causing serious injury by dangerous cycling and causing death by careless or inconsiderate cycling.

Speaking about this on GB News, Dave Sherry, described as "Britain's most hated cyclist", has hit out at the law change and claimed that cyclists should not be held responsible because "we're not considered a motorised vehicle under the Road Traffic Act".
