Charles Persinger was fighting back the tears as he spoke to GB News' Martin Daubney
Bereaved husband and son Charles Persinger broke down over Matt Hancock’s admission that a protective ring was not thrown round care homes during the Covid pandemic.
Speaking on GB News, Persinger questioned why Hancock continues to receive publicity through reality TV shows after his Covid failures.
He told presenter Martin Daubney that the Covid inquiry has made it clear that Hancock should “never have been Health Secretary”.
Fighting back the tears, he said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken, to be honest with you.”
“At the end of the day, we’re a country that’s desperately in need of justice and accountability”, he said.
“I would like to see these people in the courts of law facing justice for what happened.”
