Eighteen Albanian criminals and immigration offenders have been deported from the UK, a day after the Home Office revealed that almost a thousand Albanian offenders had been sent back to their home country so far this year.
The latest charter flight back to the Albanian capital Tirana included those convicted of fraud, money laundering and the supply of class A drugs.
The foreign national offenders had received combined prison sentences totalling more than 56 years.
They included a man sentenced to more than 10 years in jail for the production and supply of class A drugs.
Another man sentenced to five years in prison for drug supply was also on the flight.
As was an individual who claimed to have entered the UK in the back of a lorry.

He was deported just two weeks after admitting his illegal entry to immigration officials.
Home Secretary Priti Patel said: "These criminals have violated our laws and our values, and we will stop at nothing to remove those with no right to be here.
"They are responsible for appalling offences including the production and intent to supply class A drugs and fraud, which has a devastating impact on people, their families and our communities."
Latest Home Office figures show that since the beginning of this year, 487 Albanian criminals and around 500 Albanian immigration offenders have been removed from the UK.
