London chemical attack: Superintendent names suspected attacker in official statement

A total of nine individuals, including a woman, her two children and three officers were injured as a result of the incident

Superintendent Gabriel Cameron has released a statement on the corrosive substance attack that took place in Clapham Common last night.

Police have named a man in connection with the crime as Abdul Ezedi and have launched a manhunt "to locate and arrest him."

He is alleged to have attacked a woman and her two children with a corrosive substance before fleeing the scene.

Three women, two in their 30s and one in her 50s, were injured at the scene after coming to help the family.

A total of nine individuals, including a woman, her two children and three officers were injured as a result of the incident.
