Bev Turner has blasted the Garrick Club after it overturned its 193-year ban on women members.

The GB News star argued on Britain’s Newsroom that the move does little to aid the gender equality movement and questioned if women actually “care” about the move.

“We don’t really care about being part of a stuffy boys club”, she said.

“If this is meant to be a feminist campaign to help women, it doesn’t work.

“I think women struggle to get professional advancement because men are not very good at cross-gender networking.

“A lot of networking goes on here and a lot of backslapping. Just putting men and women together in this space is not going to help women in terms of cross-gender networking.”
