The 13th century cottage was bought for just £20,000 at that time.

West Wittering is a quiet village that also holds a great beach.

In fact, West Wittering Beach was voted as the 8th most popular UK beach in a recent study.

It boasts a sandy beach that looks onto clear waters and the Southern location means it enjoys warmer temperatures than other parts of the UK.

The beach has received more than 7,400 Google reviews and has an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.

A recent reviewer described it as the "best beach on the south coast".

One more called it a "great place [with a] long stretch of beautiful sand".

Another added: "A glorious beach of space and light. Broad horizons, golden sand and crystal blue waters.
