Mick Jagger lived in the UK for many years

Mick Jagger may be famous across the world, but the English rocker has set up roots not too far from his home town of Kent.

He bought a Grade II listed house in the London suburb of Richmond upon Thames in the 1990s.

The four storey house enjoys plenty of privacy while being a short journey from the centre of the capital.

He reportedly bought the property for around £2.25million but it is now estimated to be worth a huge £13million.

His Richmond property was out of the hustle and bustle of London.

It has plenty of green space including parks and rivers.

This includes the famous Richmond Park, which has more than 2,400 reviews on Tripadvisor.

It has an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars and guests have praised the "stunning" views from the park.

Another reviewer praised the wildlife and shared their appreciation of the area.

They wrote: "We enjoyed a peaceful afternoon in Richmond Park on a midweek visit.

"Not many people around and we enjoyed walking the various paths and saw red deer and a variety of bird life. It was a pleasant experience and the weather was mild."

Mick Jagger is not the first international celeb to favour a home in the UK.
