Greggs fans have something to celebrate as the high street bakery giant is adding a brand new Chicken Roll to its permanent menu.
The new offering completes what the chain is calling its "trilogy" of rolls, joining the much-loved Sausage Roll and the pork-free Vegan Roll.
The new item will go on sale this Thursday, priced at £1.35, and it comes in at 305 calories.
The launch marks a big moment for sausage roll lovers and for Greggs, who has built its reputation on its iconic pastry-wrapped creations.

The chicken roll will go on sale this week

With the Sausage Roll already a national favourite and the Vegan Roll proving hugely popular since its debut, the Chicken Roll rounds out the trio nicely.
Greggs describes its newest creation as seasoned chicken encased in layers of crispy, golden puff pastry with a lovely glaze.
A Greggs spokesperson said: "They say the best things come in threes, and our iconic roll trilogy is no exception. We can't wait for our customers to experience the Chicken Roll as the ultimate headline act of our flaky franchise."

The Newcastle-based firm has faced challenges over the past year, with cautious shoppers feeling the pinch from rising living costs.
Despite this, Greggs continues to expand, with ambitions to grow beyond 3,000 UK shops in the longer term.
Those eager to get their hands on the Chicken Roll a day early can head to a special pop-up event tomorrow at 15 Bateman Street in London's Soho, where the product will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
In keeping with the trilogy theme, guests must turn up as part of a group of three, whether that's friends or family.
