It marks the first new product launch for Cheerios in almost three years

Breakfast tables across the UK are about to get a fruity makeover, as Nestlé rolls out Very Berry Cheerios this week.

The berry-flavoured cereal has already started appearing on shelves, with eagle-eyed shoppers spotting it in supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda, and Sainsbury's.

It's a huge milestone for Nestlé Cereals; while Cheerios continuously delights Britons with its classic varieties, it hasn't introduced anything new since 2022.

Nestlé Cereals describes the brand-new flavour as a "berry-tasting twist on a family favourite".

The launch represents Nestlé's latest move to maintain its position as Britain's top multigrain cereal brand, while giving families a fresh option at breakfast time.

Very Berry Cheerios combines oats, wheat, and barley with genuine berry puree, creating a fruity flavour in every spoonful.

Not only is it tasty, but health-conscious consumers will be pleased to know it's a nutritious choice too.

It's high in fibre and comes fortified with seven vitamins, along with calcium and iron.

Vitamins B6 and B9 help with energy release throughout the day, while iron supports the immune system.

Parents will also be pleased to know there are no artificial colours or flavours in the mix.

"We can finally reveal our brand-new Cheerios Very Berry! With the taste of berries in every bite," the brand announced on Instagram this week.

The berry variety joins the existing lineup of Honey Cheerios and Multigrain Cheerios.

Whether topped with milk, stirred into yoghurt, or mixed with fresh fruit, it offers families another way to enjoy their morning cereal.

Early reactions from shoppers have been overwhelmingly positive. Social media lit up with excited comments as cereal lovers discovered the new offering in stores.

Responses across Facebook and Instagram have included heart-eyed emojis and messages like, "Wow, need to try" and "Need this".

One happy customer who managed to grab a box wrote: "Bought yesterday. Very nice."

With the product only just hitting shelves this week, it's likely more supermarkets will stock Very Berry Cheerios in the coming days.

For now, cereal fans keen to try the new flavour should head to their nearest Tesco, Asda, or Sainsbury's.

In other exciting food news, McVitie's has rolled out "irresistible" festive sweet treats, including a "first-ever" selection box and redesigned favourites.

For those in the Christmas spirit, the lineup (out now) features the Penguin Selection Box, Flipz Gingerbread Share Bag, the Chocolate Digestives Anniversary Tin, and more.
